Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how AEC Revit Lab ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our Revit plugins and website at aecrevitlab.com.

1. Data We Collect and Process

Our plugins process Revit project information locally to provide their drawing, reporting and quality-control features. Subscription-enabled plugins also contact Autodesk to verify access; they are not entirely offline.

Subscription verification. Sheet QA Pro sends the signed-in Autodesk user ID and its Marketplace application ID to Autodesk's entitlement service over HTTPS to check an active trial or subscription. This request does not include your Autodesk password, payment-card details, Revit model geometry, sheet contents, project filenames or QC results. The service also receives the network information needed to handle an internet request, such as the connection's IP address. Autodesk handles information it receives under its own privacy statement.

Local plugin data. Plugins may save settings, presets, project-specific working data and licence state in your Windows user profile. For example, Drawing Register Exporter settings may be stored at %APPDATA%\AECRevitLab\DrawingRegisterExporter\. Sheet QA Pro stores its licence cache at %LOCALAPPDATA%\AEC Revit Lab\Sheet QA Pro\. That cache contains the Autodesk user ID, application ID and verification/access timestamps, and is encrypted using Windows Data Protection for the current Windows user. Local cache contents are not uploaded to AEC Revit Lab.

Sheet QA Pro does not automatically upload your model, QC results or usage analytics to AEC Revit Lab. If you choose to send us a support email or attach a report, we receive the information you provide.

On our website, we may collect:

• Email addresses voluntarily submitted via our "Notify me" form for product launch notifications.
• Standard web server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, through our hosting provider.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Autodesk account identifiers and licence state are used to verify trial/subscription access and support limited offline access after successful verification.
• Local settings and working data support the plugin features you use.
• Email addresses collected through the notification form are used to notify you when the requested product launches.
• Information you voluntarily send for support is used to respond to your request.
• We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Web server logs support security and performance monitoring.

3. Third-Party Services

Our plugins and website use the following third-party services:

• Autodesk — Marketplace purchases, account services and subscription/trial entitlement verification. See the Autodesk Privacy Statement.
• GitHub Pages — website hosting (github.com/privacy).
• Formspree — website email form submissions (formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy).
• Google Fonts — this website loads font resources from Google. Your browser sends the network information needed to request those resources.

These providers process information under their own privacy policies. Autodesk controls the retention and handling of entitlement requests it receives; deleting a local plugin cache does not delete information held by Autodesk.

4. Data Retention

• Email addresses submitted for launch notifications are retained until the product launches or you request deletion.
• Local plugin settings, working data and licence caches may remain after uninstalling a plugin, until you manually remove them. Uninstalling does not necessarily delete user-profile data.
• Sheet QA Pro's seven-day offline access limit is a licence-validity limit, not an automatic cache-deletion schedule. Its cache is updated during verification and may remain on disk after offline access expires.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• You can request deletion of your email address from our notification list at any time.
• You can remove local settings or licence-cache files from the relevant product folder while Revit is closed. Back up any settings you want to keep. Deleting Sheet QA Pro's licence cache requires a new successful online verification before access can resume.
• For requests about information held by AEC Revit Lab, contact admin@aecrevitlab.com. Requests about your Autodesk account or Autodesk-held records should be directed to Autodesk using its privacy-statement contact options.

6. Data Security

Sheet QA Pro uses HTTPS for Autodesk entitlement requests and Windows Data Protection to encrypt its licence cache for the current Windows user. This protection does not mean all plugin settings or reports are encrypted. Email addresses submitted through our website are processed by Formspree under its own security standards.

Our plugins do not collect your Autodesk password or payment-card details. Marketplace checkout is handled by Autodesk and its payment providers, not within Sheet QA Pro. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

7. Children's Privacy

Our plugins and website are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
